Regarding the bricking Wii Us, the soldering savant Voultar is on the case, and it looks like a high number of Wii Us out there with this memory error are entirely fixable, using nothing more than an $8 dev board, SD card, USB cable, and a free program: [Link]

It's funny that you say Megaman 7 is the only one you've liked, since it's considered the black sheep of the original series (1-11), just because its controls are so much more floaty and it's zoomed in so much more. Personally I don't mind that, it's just different.
And yeah, despite seemingly most people disliking MM7, it was a very popular place for sprite editing. MM7 is so aesthetically pleasing, I wish they did more with it and MM8's looks, before reverting to the 8-bit style in MM9 and 10. A 16/32-bit Megaman series could have been interesting; what could have been.

Yes my Wii U is still downloading stuff because all I have to use right now are a pile of flash drives, which A) take a while to install to and B) tend to corrupt when games get too damn big.
This is a temporary measure, just so I have them downloaded to SOMETHING, until I can get a proper external drive for the Wii U.
I do wish I could key out the white background of this GIF though. Just something I threw together by screen recording my Wii U and cropping the video in EZGIF.

Sorry for the late reply. Right, I saw that I received an add from you a while back and then forgot about it, whoops.

Yeah when going through the eShop, the first thing I do is see if a given 3DS/WiiU game is on Switch/etc., then compare the versions and pick a winner. It generally comes to down whether or not the WiiU's tablet controller or the 3DS' screen adds anything significant to the experience. On the other hand, sometimes later versions have unique content or unique DLC.

Another thing to consider is a hardware problem going around with the Wii U. Apparently Wii Us that haven't been powered on for several years have been bricking for a lot of people. I don't know how concrete this is, but something to keep in mind and an eye on: [Link]
The poor thing just can't catch a break.

I noticed you've picked up many Megamans recently, nice. Rockman might just be my favourite overall series of all time.
