Yeah, subscription games are weird. Generally, I would go by if you had to buy the game or not, regardless of the sub fee. If you paid just to have the game, it's until you it. If the servers get shut down before you it, you're free to mark it (or just delete it if you prefer). If the game was free to download, you can keep it if you plan to go back to it, or just delete it if you're done with it.

After the site update is finished, one of the first new features I'm planning to add it an option to set Priorities for your games. Low, High, On Hold, etc. One of those will be Retired, for games you don't want to go back to. No idea when that'll be ready though.

And then Steam offers you a Double Fine bundle, and you say "Heck no, I ain't buying 10 games in a row". And then you find yourself hitting the "PAY" button after the second title you read.

Is any of you planning on joining Final Fantasy XIV? If so, please send me a PM and we can both get cool stuff through the "Recruit a Friend" campaign As an invitee, once you subscribe for the first month you receive a bunch of stuff that will ease up your leveling in Eorzea, as:

- An item that gives you +20% Exp while under level 25
- 99 Free teleport tickets
- A "Brofist" emote
- 10 Silver Chocobo Feather which can be traded in for good low-level gear to be used while leveling up.

The DS game is alright, but I think I'm mostly enjoying it because of memories of the original game. Story is kinda awful, but they did a pretty good job of porting the feel of the PC game to the DS so it's pressing the right buttons for me.

If you don't want the games, I'd say just don't add them. There's tons of free games all over the net, but people don't go around adding every single one to their backlog. Not really any different in this case.

In terms of the Dark Brotherhood, I'm counting the achievements as being more than destroying the Dark Brotherhood, so doing the Dark Brotherhood questline will net me the (as well as the three achievements for it). For the Stormcloaks & Imperials, I just picked the Imperials and figured that's good enough I'm still doing the quest, just one side of it. Those self-excluding quests are already subtracted from the number of quests I have up there.

Yeah, I think it's one ofe those rare "perfect" games for me. I still own my original 20-something-year-old copy and I recall it showing a "death count" in the end... I'm trying to make a no-death run this time to see what happens.

It's my favorite Zelda ever--with The Minish Cap right behind it.
