All it matters is that you had a fun time with it! Your opinion is going to change and adapt as you play more horror games eventually, I am also not all that well versed in horror games, but I never found DS to be scary, more creepy, so I never had a problem jumping into it myself. That is very smart! I made many of my gaming experiences much less enjoyable because I jumped into a sequel before my mind could really take in the previous experience, you were right to make that call!

I know that feeling, sitting down just trying to find a way to the next area, thankfully the game started opening itself to me now that I found many new abilities form defeating bosses that I managed to find, so the game is getting more and more fun!

You are exactly right, but you can always come back to the original game that gave you that first experience, of course, you can never experience that first game for the first time again, but in my experience that never made the game any less fun to play again!

Glad to hear that! It is still a great game, I dare to say that even the infamous third game is pretty fun, except for the plot, it is not good at all. I am having fun, but the exploration is pretty tedious not gonna lie, but that is probably due to not being familiar with these kind of games, getting completely lost in an area without a map can be exciting for so long haha

I was also surprised by how well the game uses light and shadows to create an amazing atmosphere, but also hides how old the game actually is, rarely, but you will find yourself in some very bright light rooms and you will see just how old the game actually is, but overall it holds up really well! The Leviathan fight is also my favorite, it is such a unique boss fight that can only really work in a game like this, with a gameplay like this, it truly is a sight to behold! I do not know how familiar you are with the franchise as a whole, but I shall warn you regardless that as the franchise goes on, the games become more and more action-oriented instead of horror-oriented, still, the second game is fantastic for different reasons.

Yeah, Scarlet Nexus is so far so good! Little bit of a slow start, but obviously the more I unlock the more fun it gets. And the story is finally starting to get interesting too! I’ve heard that you do really need to play through both routes to get the full story, so hopefully I’m not burned out by the time I finish up with Yuito!
