It was a fairly good ending, plus there are the two routes through it. I just finished Etrian Odyssey Untold and I'm not sure it was as good with a proper storyline, I quite liked making it up myself as I went along!

I picked Normal difficulty without knowing that Normal in Torchlight is equal to most games' Easy. It made Torchlight kind of boring throughout most of the game. As for perma-death, I'd say . Watch out for the final boss. He managed to kill me twice, and I'm still not 100% on how. His attacks weren't that powerful, but it seemed like if you were unlucky you could get hit by a bunch of stuff all at once causing instant death.
