Yeah, your comments echo what I've heard about Lost World 3DS; its reputation is poor. It's not something I'm rushing to play, but I still can't help but be curious. It's Dimps' Sonic swan song, too, and I like the studio despite their spotty track record on the series, so I'm still probably going to track down a copy someday. But, like, this isn't a priority and I'm sure I'll have a lousy time.

Side note, but the "Dark Era of Sonic" phrase is a strange one as a longtime fan since I've seen it used to define no less than distinct three eras: the aimless Saturn years, the miserable Aughts (which is the definition I assume you're using, having cited Secret Rings), and the mostly insecure Tens. Hopefully this decade's nicer to the 'hog.

Side note #2, but I've been feeling nostalgic towards the Rush games lately. Might need to revisit them soon, especially since I want to write about a good Sonic character to wash away the bitter aftertaste of the current Sonic project I'm writing.

Look, friend, don't revisit Lost World. Consider this is an intervention, a plea from a concerned friend. The only person in my Backloggery circle who should force themself to (re)play bad Sonic games is me.

Cool, cool. I'm sure Colors: Ultimate will enter my possession at some point, so I'm glad at least some of its rough edges were ironed out. Also, yeah, Colors' script isn't great—in general, I find there's this weird try hard quality to how Pontac and Graff write and time their jokes—but Eggman's PA announcements are a highlight. Shame they're still mumbled, though.

There were a couple of times I almost bit the bullet and bought Colors: Ultimate. Hopefully it's reached an acceptable level of quality.

Hey bud! Yeah, streaming has been an awesome experience, it's picking up and the chat is very active on Twitch, I've been loving it. I would like to do it more frequently, but my Internet sucks sometimes. I even tried Starlink, but unfortunately, it didn't work as well as I thought it would. But hey, we'll push on.
