Oh, I don't update every game I buy either, I just keep the site up to date with what I'm actually playing. That helps me much more than to just flood a site with a 1000-ish entries long list. I don't even wanna know how high my number is. I'm using the site more as an update for my play entry "log" than a real "backlog". Yeah, I'm technically cheating, sue me... My page, my ways..

Judging from the time of your comment, I think it was just chugging a bit because it was doing the daily maintenance. I'd be surprised if there's any significant increase in users until the remake hits.

Sorry for late reply! Nier: Automata was fantastic! Easily one of my favourite games of all time :D I've already played it twice and beaten almost all the side content.

Greetings! Yes!! I love Tomb Raider. I played quite a few of the games but I really love her as a character and I admire her a lot. I enjoyed the recent games but my heart still stays with Legend the most.
And Life Is Strange was such an emotional roller coaster. I loved it, and I still need to play Before the Storm too. I can't wait to try it though. Are you a fan?

Theme is 9S from NieR Automata! That game has been the biggest surprise for me this year ... It's SO GOOD

Kirby 3D was a decent game. I was tired of Hypernova by about the halfway point, but everything else was fine - some neat new powers (Beetle was cute), 3D actually had a reason for being there (attacks getting an extra little 'pop' because of it), and the boss battles were as good as ever (Paintra was the best regular boss, final battle was fantastic as per usual). Oh, and the music! Kirby's tunes are generally better than anything else Nintendo puts out.

Definitely a solid four star title.

A challenge? Nah, it just features the IPs I love the most and/or that I'm most interested to know how they are going to evolve as a franchise. Some of them I've barely even played up to this point, but I plan on changing that soon.

I'm pretty sure everyone is bad with the Special Stages at first. I finished my first run without all the Emeralds myself. You'll get better as you memorize the courses but the only general tips I can provide are remember to keep your ring count up and when you get to higher speeds, start jumping around (or even over some) corners.

Also interesting tip for Sonic & Tails I only just discovered last night: Did you know you can activate Buddy Flight solo by holding up while you jump? It's the smallest change and yet also the best thing ever. Might have picked Sonic & Tails first if I knew this, hah.

But yeah. Sonic games never take me long to clear, though this one was a bit longer than the average thanks to there being so many Blue Sphere stages to get through. I think my Sonic playthrough must've been about 9 hours long beause of them + many special stage reattempts while I was learning them. Tails also took a while thanks to Blue Sphere, while Knuckles was a fraction of those just because I'd gotten them all done by that point. And yet there's still plenty to mess about with in terms of finding hidden paths and getting good Time Trail times and aaaa. Amazing package all in all!

I'm right there with you on the CPZ boss, by the way. I had the dumbest grin on my face when that showed up. I'd be curious to see what you think of some of the later bosses as well.

That makes a lot of sense! It's kind of getting like that for me recently since I've had the Backloggery. Before I joined this site I never really made an active attempt to really 100% anything, or thought of it at all as a type of playthrough. I am currently playing Mario and Luigi Partners in Time and I have segments (I'm doing progress entries on my blog inspired by this site since it helps me stay on track and if I don't play for a while I'll remember what I did last, or things that I still have to get back to) where I do a lot of backtracking just to get all the items on the areas that a previously missed or hadn't completely explored without a certain ability, etc.

I agree! The 3DS is a fantastic system. The games that I've played on there I've had an absolute blast with, and my wishlist for that system continues to increase and increase, haha. I'm picking up my 2DS XL tomorrow which I'm really excited for, since I still have the one with the smaller screen and my eyes are poor so all those wonderful graphics packed into it I am unfortunately squinting to see.

Literally the only thing I'd want is what the PSP has, so that when you turn it off you are still exactly where you left off instead of rebooting the whole thing since I usually play during my breaks and lunch for work and it gets a little obnoxious to do that sometimes. I could just put it on sleep mode, so it does technically have this, but for some reason I am hesitant to do this since I feel like I'm just keeping it on while I'm working. xDD

I think Link's Awakening is a step above the two Oracle games, even though they are technically more advanced. I somehow liked the atmosphere in it a lot, it was very dreamy, a child's game but at the same time deep enough that also an adult can appreciate it. It was just lovely!

A Link to the Past, on the other side, was... technically exceptional. But... somehow it didn't resonate with me. I didn't like the dungeon design, I didn't like the story all that much, I basically remember just the main characters of that game and everyone else is like a blur..
I am a bit scared of when I will play A Link between Worlds.

I was very saddened by the results of the Brexit vote and thought it would be the worst news of 2016 (but then the Americans topped that, as they always do, they have to top everything). I have a cousin and two friends that live in London and I'm curious to see what they will do. Scotlands Universities are free of tuition? I've seen some and the prices are high, but maybe I concentrated only on those in England... Tuition is free in all of Germany, except for private Universities, and that was one of the main reasons I moved to here. I plan to visit Scotland sometime in the future, though, I hope you don't mind me asking you for advice for when I do!

It's the main character from the GBA JRPG Golden Sun. If you haven't played it before, it's definitely worth looking into; it's one of the best games on the platform and its sequel is no slouch, either.
