I just got magic and am battling my way through to get the next seed: Secret of Mana
Struggling to get into the battle system and the abundance of bosses. When the game works it feels great!! But when it doesn't it's hard to go back..

So far I really like the game for its atmosphere, music, and characters. But the mechanic of the three day cycle could've been handled better and it really restricts me from feeling like I can freely explore. I'm after my first play through I could go through this easily and enjoy it a lot more. But right now it feels like the game requires a guide in order not to waste a ton of time. I'm still hopeful that I'll change my mind on this one!

Not a problem! Let me know if you have any questions as I'm kind of a Backloggery Expert.

I'm currently replaying Secret of Mana and I forgot how hard it is at the beginning. Right after you get magic, if you spend some time grinding, it will really help in the long run. Never run away from fights unless you have to as the Levels always help. But, the combat system is the hardest part to get used to in the game. Also, if you set your AI to bottom left as much as possible, that seems like a good AI mindset.

I do love your theme. Your avatar is great and it's always a good idea to have a game your playing as a header.

You Beat Dokapon Kingdom?? I figured it just ended in tears and shame...

It took Alan and I a third file to beat it. It was just the two of us and we promised to never hit each other. Even then, it took a long while! But, Congratulations on the ! Especially if you played against some computer characters.
