Kinda sucks that Fates turned out to be weaker than Awakening. I get the feeling if they had focused their efforts on a single game instead of splitting it up in 2-3 branches/whatever it would have turned out better. Weed out bad character ideas, avoid relying so heavily on tropes and archetypes, and flesh out a more engaging story rather than:

"Come home, Jack."
"Dad, I am home."

Hopefully the inevitable FE15 will turn out a bit better.

In related incestuous discoveries, Awakening is A-OK with letting cousins get to S-Rank. Whether this is an oversight on Nintendo's part or if the nature of the relationship is different, either way I'm not brave enough to find out.
