Definitely a solid entry. Great combat system, charming characters, interesting worlds and ideas at play, but there's definitely areas that reek of being half-baked like certain worlds and interactions, character endings, etc. Really sucks that Square doesn't give SaGa a better budget because this is absolutely a banger in the making. Another year in development and this probably would have been peak SaGa imo, but alas...still had a lot of fun with it tho and will come back for other scenarios.

Hard agree on HoD. Perhaps it would have been a much smoother, and better experience if I had simply followed a guide but I didn't really want to use a guide for every Castlevania game I play since I got through the classics pretty well enough, but I did end up missing quite a lot of stuff. Whenever I go back through the game again I'm definitely following a guide for it to make the experience smoother.
Oh lord CoTM.. Okay I really enjoy the music and aesthetic but the controls were horrendous on my XBOX controller.. I know it probably flowed much better on an original GBA but holy crap. I found myself feeling frustrated by the double tap to run and flying enemies were an absolute nightmare.. Controls aside and ignore the god awful drop rate % even with high LCK stat the game is good and I did follow a guide for that one which definitely made things a bit easier.
Just started OoE and have to say I am loving the combat a lot so far, and of course the music is always good. Just made it to Minera Prison Island so still pretty early on but I think it's pretty darn cool you can murder enemies and get glyphs which lets you use new weapons, etc.
