Sadly they don't sing together, but they are both options for the song! There is also the song called "Snowman" that both can sing, and even if not together in Mirai I think they sing it together in the Diva Arcade version!

I've heard A LOT of good things about DQV and I hope that this time my game experience will be better than what I had with IV. I actually enjoyed most out of DQIV, but there are a few things that for me are a big no-no, like excessive grinding and not being able to run away from battles whenever you want. If it wasn't for that I would have probably already finished it. Hope V will be more merciful from that point of view. I don't want to give up on DQ yet because I remember playing a bit of VIII a long time ago (which I will definitely get on my 3DS!) and I loved it, I suppose I still need to find the chapter of the series with which I'll "click". :P

What you said about VI is pretty scary. I'll wait for a while before buying, I do still intend to play it eventually.

Oh, I know exactly when you'll play SC: when you'll beat FC. Seriously, it's impossible to not want to know what happens after the ending of FC. It has been a really long time since I played a jrpg with such meaningful dialogues and characters. In a way, considering the way in which it takes all tropes ever appeared in jrpgs and develops them to their highest expression, you could say it's the JRPG of all JRPGs.
It's not for everyone, but I think you'd like it.

(Oh, and I REALLY advise you to play the Sky games before Cold Steel, if you can.)

Wow that is nuts! I'm glad they translated it at least in V and VI then! Knowing that it's so extensive, it's a real shame they cut it. Still the game is lots of fun regardless~
