A Short Hike did have a lot of Animal Crossing references, yes! The fishing, the money rocks, how the NPCs talked etc. I had a very good time completing it. Loved the music as well, btw. I have this habit to add at least one song of every game I play to my 'favorite video game music' playlist on youtube and I almost added all of them.

I feel that, to truly immerse myself in a game I have to be as disconnected as possible from the real world. Having a chat, having to interact with people... I can't see myself doing it. Must be hard...

You can do it tho! She can be inflicted with bleed damage. She does some input reads, but she's actually quite predictable. There's moments it's best not to attack her... (I looked up strategies) I suggest summoning AI partners, it really helps.

Her remembrance stuff is worth it. I'm on my way to beat her for the 3rd time last time I was playing.

Yeah I wasn't even playing games anymore for now a long time, having many day-1 purchases over the last couple of years and not playing them more than a couple of hours (FF7R, Nier, FFCC, Metroid Dread...) cause I was too busy for work. If it's for Dark Souls IV tho work can frig off!
