And just to make things worse, I ordered a Jade figurine last week.

I wonder if at any point in the Anime, they'll do that skit where the party talks about stripping Jade to find out how he stays so cool? =x

I watched the first episode un-subbed the day it showed up on youtube. God, the animation is sexy and perfect. I can't wait to see Jade.

So many games we share in common~ If I may suggest - FFT is made of win and awesome (and extremely confusing translation for ol' PSX.), I'm sure you'd like it. x]

Hey Lekky! :D Wow, you beaten Star Ocean III. I adored II so much, I spent countless hours on it (actually more like 180) so how is it?

Awww, Ritapon has to be my favourite Suiko side game! <3 Okay, maybe that's because it's the only one I'm good at? *laughs*

(And as you know, I don't really understand how Lazlo would be particularily angsty; I think he handled the situation he was in pretty well. But then again, I'm also someone who says that Tidus isn't all that whiny because he's quite cheerful (and complains only once or twice, really) for someone suddenly thrown from a comfortable life into a world a 1000 years away and obsessed with death...)

I was confused for a while and thought I had missed the Blinking Mirror somehow. (Am I the only one who suspects that the Blinking Mirror is the physical incarnation of the True Blinking Rune? Kinda like how the Star Dragon Sword is the Night Rune?) Now I can finally teleport around and recruit people I was too lazy to walk to. =D Maybe I'll snag those damn squirrels now.

I like Viki too. =3 She's a neat character... Especially in Suikoden III when you meet her (Is this a spoiler? Oh well, I'll mark anyway.) younger self, who is... much more intelligent than adult Viki. =X

It just seemed like all of his troubles were thrown onto him so they had a plot. I don't know what it is, but compared with Tir and Riou, he just didn't seem at all torn between what he had to do with the RoP, and the emotional stress of the choices he had to make.

I think Jade's skits are good because there's a lot of variety to the way that he tries to... bug the other party members. Things like... experimenting on their food to see if they'll notice ingredients they don't like. The other characters can be funny, but they tend to be repetitive. Guy's funny skits are about women or machines. Tear's are always about something cute. Anise's are about money. (Though I suppose Luke has a little more variety, but he tends to just be the but of the joke. =x)

FFVIII is fun as well, though the storyline goes a little crazy. (My favourite parts of the game are in the beginning, when the party are just students of a military school going on missions. Ah and the parts with Laguna, of course. <3)

You know, I think that Suikoden V is so good because it tries very hard (and succeeds, in my opinion) to emulate the style of the 2D games in 3D. I've noticed a lot of similarities between II and V, beyond the obvious repeating characters. Two Rivers is similar to that city divided into three factions in V and the Knights of Rockaxe is like the Dragonhorse Cavalry...

So far I think I might prefer II over V, but I tend to favour whatever game I'm playing a little. =x

But then, just about every skit with Jade in it was awesome one way or another.

And yes, you make good points! But I think as long as the teen-protagonist is the rule, the supporting, older characters must always come with a kind of...handicap? so as to not take away the speshul protagonist role from the leading kid. Sure, Guy is pretty mature, but he's introduced as Luke's servant, so no dice.

Bah, that sounds as if I disliked it! Not really, though. It's just something I wondered about. And Jade has quite the character development&back story all right! The scenes with Dist the ...Rose (haha, he wishes) alone! (Dist -- SO funny, and so tragic...did you do the Nephilim side quest?)
