Grats and mad respect for the on Rebirth! Really hoping that you didn't have to redo region intel in hard mode. I still have Cosmo Canyon to 100% in my normal playthrough but after the slog that was Gongaga, I didn't even bother.

The entire final sequence was a trip. Just kept going and going and I'm like, "MY HEART". Jimmy definitely did try his best... So glad I played this, thank you again so much for the gift. Did kind of drop it for a year but about the time you get to the numbers-people town I felt burnt out last year from how much of a grind it was.

So I changed the difficulty when I came back and ended up marathoning the entire rest of the game. Still need all the Light Bulbs, the Dark Dungeon done, the Heart Temple place thing? And the rest of the Nightmare dungeons, before Complete. But I had such a good time with this.

Thanks again for Shovel Knight. I knew this game was going to be good, and it was! When it comes to 2D platforming, it doesn't get much better than this. I had a lot of fun with it.

Congrats on getting a Switch!

I actually just bought one (OLED model) last February. I don't have too many games for it, but I have really enjoyed what I've played so far. I know the system has tons of games, so I'm excited to start exploring its vast library!

Yeah, when the next game is released (whenever that may be), I definitely plan on replaying Heroes and Bounties first to refresh my memory. Maybe then I'll get the authentic Boot Hill Bounties experience.

Story-wise, the thing that excites me the most about the next game is (hopefully) finally being able to confront Coyote Saint in person. They've spent two whole games building him up as a very, very bad man. Time to see him do some damage firsthand.

I have no idea when the next game is coming out, though, so I'll just have to sit here and wriggle in anticipation until then.

You did the smart thing by waiting a while before playing Boot Hill Bounties. I played it right after it was released, and there were so many bugs and glitches that the game honestly didn't feel finished at the time. Hopefully they've fixed the major issues since then and you didn't encounter anything too bad.

What did you think of the game, by the way? I really enjoyed the freedom of being able to pursue the Saints-Little Gang in any order I wanted. (If I recall correctly, the order I went was Burning Crow, Sally/Tuco, Scorpion, Creed. That was a bad idea, though, because Stampede Sally kicked my ass during her boss fight and it took me a few tries to defeat her. Probably should have saved her for later.)

I have a theory about a potential plot point in the next game. Remember that after-credits scene between Judge Snodgrass and his mysterious visitor where they talk about prolonging the war? The visitor asks if the Saints-Little Gang is in prison and Snodgrass says, "No, two of them are dead." But we know that Monty, Tuco, and Creed are dead, right? I don't think that was a typo. Creed is supposed to be a super genius, and his "death" in the mines seemed a little suspect. I think he faked his death, and the next game is going to begin with Creed busting Coyote and the others out of Devil's Hold. As for the identity of this visitor...well, I have no good guesses there. What about you?

Possibly! I'm also really really notorious for how long I take in RPGs, but when I contrasted my screenshots + time with how much time a few LPs had gone on (maxed time counter vs 49 hours?) it struck me how long the game is.

You can Game Over easy if you're not playing really strategically. It's not button mashy early Final Fantasy just get the battle done, random encounters can ice you if you're REALLY not paying attention. And it is exceedingly grindy if you want to upgrade your suits and buy more gear. Which you do, because it makes the game easier and more managable.

The story is a silly anime-ish joke, but I enjoyed it and the characters, and being able to play as actual robots in a non-action game was a nice treat. I LOVE the combat system and how equipment for the mechs work. I just wish it didn't feel like every dungeon and new area took too long for me to do.

Honestly? If you've got the money and you love Gundam I say try it. Worst that happens is you flip it for good money if it doesn't work out. No other game I've played thus far lets me take Shining Gundam, put two giant drill arms on it, swap its legs out for a Dom's, and finish off with putting Wing Gundam's wings on its back.
