I was thinking that might be him. Not sure who I'd say is my favorite Parodius character, because there are so many of them that have great loadouts; I'd probably go with Koitsu/Doitsu/Soitsu, but I love how Mike's force field is a table that gets things knocked off of it. OH JUST LOOK AT HIM! I'd had no idea that there were Parodius plush dolls.

Okay, collezionista quindi. Io colleziono un pochino, ma piú di andare sul gioco raro o di prestigio, cerco di prendere quei giochi che seriamente ho intenzione di giocare. Tipo, un Doshin the Giant lo prenderei solo se davvero penso di giocarlo presto. Giochi che voglio giocare ma che temo saliranno di prezzo pure finiscono nella vetrina. Ma il resto... boh, non sento lo stimolo.

Capisco perfettamente il tuo approccio, io pensavo di adottarne uno simile, ma ho abbastanza cambiato idea, e ho deciso solo di rigiocare quei giochi sui quali penso di avere un opinione diversa oggi o che all'epoca ho rush-ato. Tutto il resto... magari me li vedo su YouTube per rivivere la storia, ma non penso di rigiocarli. In particolare i giochi che ho giocato da quando sono su Backloggery sono ben documentati.

E poi ho in progetto di fare delle "schede riassuntive" di giochi a cui ho giocato e un giorno stamparlo e tenerlo come "albo di figurine", solo che sono giochi e non roba stupida come calciatori.

Comunque, in bocca al lupo col tuo progetto, non sarà facile finire 638 giochi, non voglio sapere quanti anni di vita saranno. Tempo fa ho preparato un foglio excel per calcolare quanti giorni dovrei giocare di fila per finire tutti i miei e sono a 280 giorni di gioco. Senza sonno, senza pausa. Non ce la faró per altri 10 anni, temo. Soprattutto se nel frattempo usciranno altri giochi. Ma piano piano, con priorità, spero di arrivarci un giorno...

Tu sei qui da soli tre anni, ma stai aggiungendo i giochi solo ora, vero? O hai ripreso dopo una lunga assenza?

Con WiseYuri (nel commento qui sotto) ne hai beccato un altro di italiano. Un tempo abbiamo tenuto un blog insieme (Checkpoint Café, lo trovi ancora su Google, penso!) che trattava di giochi, film, serie, anime, fumetti, etc.
Per mancanza di tempo ho dovuto smettere, purtroppo... Bella persona, WiseYuri!

Well, the GameCube was amazing for its time, it had great graphics, a top-notch library and if only Nintendo had felt more confident in their own strengths I am sure the games would have been even more and greater. I mean, as you already mentioned, it had Eternal Darkness, Wind Waker, F-Zero GX, Metroid Prime, Tales of Symphonia, Resident Evil, Viewtiful Joe, Twilight Princess, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Skies of Arcadia Legends, Pikmin... it was such an amazing time to be a Nintendo-fan!

I have still to play many many GameCube games I did not play back in the day, and I cannot wait to get to them. I will take my time and enjoy them, and keep track of all of it.

I see that most of your Nintendo GameCube games are , are you just collecting or do you think you will also play them at some point? You have some games in both their Japanese version and the PAL/US, why is that?

Grand Theft Auto III was such a revelation back in the day. I played mostly Nintendo games with my cousins because we enjoyed the multiplayer aspect a lot (Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Phantasy Star Online: Episodes I & II, Smash Bros.) but when one of them got a PS2 we were so flashed by GTAIII and all the freedom you had back in the day... we would drive around the city for hours, just to see who could get the most stars or have the most spectacular police chases... we had such a blast! And when it came out on the PC I immediately played it from start to finish! It was such a game-changer! Loved every moment of it (and loving it again, as you can see!).

Yeah, the radio stations were awesome and super funny. I particularly like Chatterbox, but Rise FM was also cool, and Head Radio, and ... yeah, they were just lots of fun! I sometimes idly listen to them on YouTube for fun...

I tried to learn Japanese for a year, but I have nobody to talk to or write with, so I quickly forgot most of it. Same with French, Spanish and last year Korean. Oh, well, I try...
