I think it's an inderect sequel from what I've seen, but I'm not positive. I also bought the first game on Super Famicom so I'm gonna try going through that with a translation on my RetroN before playing J2, so I'll let you know!

Okay cool! My current flatscreen actually still has AV ports on it, so I think I'm going to just stick with that for now until the UltraHDMI is back up for sale. Thanks for the info though!

Thanks for all the suggestions! I only have a few of those games, so I'll have to check the others out! I'm buying a 3D printed cartridge slot for my N64 so I can play any region of games, so I'm looking forward to that. It's funny that you mention Wonder Project J2, I actually just bought a reproduction cartridge of that game with the fan translation applied (cause I heard it's impossible to play without knowing Japanese). I'll let you know how it is!

I was also wondering, do you play your N64 games using standard AV out? That's my only option at the moment, which sucks cause I don't have a CRT. I was looking into the UltraHDMI, but it's pretty expensive (and sold out).

I also recently got a Retron 5 so I'm looking to play more import games and use fan translations on them, I'm excited about that.

Yeah. I might start DMC 4 over the weekend but I’ll be out of town for a business trip so kinda of a break for me.

Darksiders has always been interesting as series to me and when the company closed down I never thought it would be completed. But knowing Darksiders III is being made has me excited. They aren’t exceptional but they are fun action games.

Yeah, DMC 2 was a slog of an experience. You can definitely tell that Kamiya and the whole Little Devils team were not on the project because it had such a different vibe to it.

Luckily, they learned a lot as DMC 3 was a much better experience overall.

Yeah true. I ended up getting it when it was on sale and I'm actually enjoying it so far! Still learning the controls but I love the look of the game.

I'm not too sure if the big pieces do... Cause I got them all my first run through the game. But the small random blue ones don't. Actually this was by far the easiest Kirby game to complete in a while... I remember the True Arena in Robobot took me forever. There's a very, very, very strong Ally I used for Soul Melter, haha...

Haha well, it seems like the blue puzzle pieces didn't count towards completion. I got the 100% complete screen without them. But now I am going to get them all anyways, so I'm to figure out the fastest way to grind them.

Also did you just buy Kirby's Return to Dreamland because of Star Allies? Nice. I still haven't beaten that one actually.

Yeah, it was unfortunate. I'm enjoying it... Not as much as the 3DS games though. But I'm not quite done yet, so I'll reserve judgement. Robobot is amazing, imo it's easily the best Kirby game.
