While I did indeed make heavy use of Vyse, many of the missions turned into a siege for me. Gotta make sure the pieces are set just right before spending all of your command points on one character. Lengthy shootouts result in losses; the medic was quite busy.

I'm playing XCOM now. I have very low expectations for my troop's survivability and they are all going to die horribly like something straight out of Aliens. I should probably give all of them red armor to hide the color of the blood when the aliens murder them, and make helmets part of the standard uniform so they'll all look the same.

Given from what I've read in your blog, perhaps you should give Fortune Summoners a try? It's this Magical Girl/JRPG/Metroidvania/Fighting Game type thing that is considerably better then what the screenshots suggest. You'd probably love it.

Of course every game has its flaws, and the flaws for this one are well...it'd make for a very interesting blog post.

Oooooh, tell me what you think of Yumi's Odd Odyssey when you finish it. The series is one of my favorites! Still haven't gotten around to playing that one yet, tho...
