2012 is going well so far. I hope its going well for you too. I guess I will tell you about my recent gaming pickups. First I was recently received a donation of a silver GCN w/ 2 controllers. I've added Viewtiful Joe 2 and Resident Evil 3 because I found them at a nice price.

I also got Skyward Sword for Christmas and picked up Sonic's Ultimate Genesis collection. On the download side of things I've added Sonic CD, Dead Nation, Fluidity, and Super Smash Bros.

In addition I'm getting my first game console the NES repaired, so it will play some retro games again.

I have some new games I will be picking this year including the Silent Hill HD collection and Downpour. I'm also planning on getting Resident Evil: Revelations at some point as well.

You need to tell me what you think of Skylanders. I used to love the old Spyro games, so I'm still a little interested in the newer ones, especially when they make such a drastic change as that.

Not really, every game seems different enough to offer its own entertainment. IMO, DQV isn't as good or fun as DQIV, though, so I haven't been cruising through it as quickly. I'll be very interested in seeing what VI is like... I've played VII and I know I didn't like it very much at the time, but back then the only other DQ game I had played was the original, so I may appreciate it now with more context.

How is Alice Madness Returns? I saw some gameplay footage and I was really impressed by the crazy looking worlds they came up with.

Hey man, sorry for the late reply.

The first Dragon Warrior game doesn't take long at all. There is some aimless wandering and grinding involved, but it's relatively short. I think I did it in 10 hours or so, but I've played it before. The GBC version is slightly easier than the NES version.

DW2 and DW3 are a lot longer because there are longer wandering aimlessly sections, but they're still quite entertaining as long as you talk to everyone and take a lot of notes. You should be able to figure them out.
