How'd you enjoy Trials of Mana?

I see you're replaying Chrono Trigger. What's your take on the additions they made to the DS version from the original?

For my part, I felt like some of the extra content was a bit grindy, but I didn't mind the minor story changes. There was also some extra equipment added to the endgame, which I thought was fine since you're already overpowered at that point anyway, so it just makes for even more ludicrous amounts of damage.

Skyward Sword...so, it's been several years since the last time I played it (though I very nearly picked it back up this weekend), but I was enjoying it quite a bit. They fixed my biggest complaint with Twilight Princess, which was that the world of TP was too open with too little to do, leaving it feeling empty. That said, the way that they fixed it was by introducing a lot of repetitiveness, which I wasn't a huge fan of, rather than making the world more dense with things to do like they eventually did in BotW, which I was a big fan of.

I loved the painterly look, enjoyed the flight mechanics, was a big fan of the characters, and had a lot of fun with some of the bosses (though others, not so much). The Wiimote sword controls were a bit meh for me and the repetitiveness became a bit of a drag, but overall I thought it was a better game than a lot of people gave it credit for.

But yeah, it's been a few years now. I never removed it from my Now Playing because as far as I'm concerned I never actually stopped playing it. I simply got distracted, but I've always planned to come back around to it. As I recall, I'm only a few hours from the game, since I was at the very last Sacred Realm. After that, it's just a boss fight or two left in the story, doing a boss rush to get some pieces of heart, then cleaning up various collectibles to the game. It shouldn't take more than a few sittings. I just need to set aside the time to do it.

Having looked through your top rated games, I have to say, you clearly have some very good taste in games (not to mention a lot of overlap with my own favorite games), so I hope you don't mind that I immediately added you to my multitap as well.
