I'm so glad someone agrees with me on the end of Half Genie Hero! It was a great game other than the last bit. First of all, those gears could be avoided by switching to monkey form, which is smaller and more agile (just let them bounce over you), but how in the fuck was I supposed to know that you had to KEEP RUNNING IN ONE DIRECTION TO MAKE THE PLATFORMS RISE? I had to look up a walkthrough there. The final boss involving you attacking the genies to turn them into a ball to shoot through that shield was so frustrating and cheap. There was no way to attack those genies in time without getting hit yourself. But get this: there was a way, and I didn't think of it until after I beat the game! I should have just used the invincibility spell! ARGH. And yes, that last slide portion was torture. I just wanted the game to be over after beating that hellish final boss. Have you played Pirate's Curse, which came after Risky's Revenge? I like RR, but PC is flat-out fantastic, IMO.

Still, overall, HGH was really fun. A little easy other than that final section, but still, really enjoyable and easy to get into. And I actually beat it on the 7th, but yours says the 20th (unless you just updated your profile much later).

Hey man, nice to see you got Triforce Heroes. If possible, I HIGHLY recommend you find two local people to play the game with (or even two people over Skype). This game requires constant vocal communication, and I don't think that the online mode with the little pre-written message cues will really help). The game gets insanely tough even with 3 local players, and precise cooperation is an absolute must. If you can round up some people like this though, I can say that it's one of the most fun Zelda experiences (especially if you enjoyed 4 swords). It's so fun and satisfying to overcome all of these trials with your friends. If you can't play it any other way than single player, remember it's not really about the game's quality that will make it less fun. That's kind of like playing a fighting game or beat em up solo.

Good to see you've been keeping up with some of the MyIGN bloggers. I still talk to AWF9495 sometimes on here, and he's been keeping up with my comic too. Huh, I guess I've been neglecting this for a year? Time to get back to it then!

Origins is fun for sure and easily the best of the lower rated sequels from 2013 that I've played (God of War: Ascension, Dead Space 3, etc.). As expected, it is the weakest of the series so far but living up to Asylum (my favorite in the series) and City is a tall order. I definitely recommend you check them out as they have some of the best melee combat in any game that I've played.

Yeah, Kirby Triple Deluxe is really awesome so far. Very easy, but relaxing to play, and incredibly charming. I also see that you have Mario Golf World Tour as well. Maybe we could play a round of golf sometime. I've never added any friends to my 3DS though, so would I need your Nintendo ID or something to add you?

Yeah man, it has been awhile! What did you end up thinking of Pokemon? I ended up having a pretty good time with it but it didn't really blow me away or anything.
