Netflix has really stepped it up this past year when it comes to putting out new shows. I used to sub and not really do much except rewatch the same few series throughout the month, but now I'm constantly finding things to pique my interest. Pretty soon my "to watch" list is going to be just as big as my gaming backlog.

The lack of a sub in BDO is one of my favorite things about it. I also get into the mindset that I need to play enough to get my money's worth, so when it comes to games like WoW or FF XIV, I feel as if I get more frustrated than anything else. I force myself to play more and thus get burnt out pretty quickly. Nothing is worse than dropping $15 on a month sub and already feeling like it's a chore to play within a few days lol.

Yo! I'm doing great, I just started a new job a few weeks ago so I haven't been doing much besides working, playing League, and binge watching Netflix. :P How have you been? BDO is a wonderful game imo. The amount of content for the low price is probably the best thing about it. The quests are fun and the lore is pretty interesting, but one big setback is that the game isn't your typical MMO-- questing doesn't award you exp. In order to level up, you're expected to grind mobs for hours on end. It's still fun though, provided you don't burn yourself out.

As for music, I really like Wumpscut, Android Lust, KMFDM, Das Ich, Neubauten, Skinny Puppy, Leæther Strip, and so on. Skinny Puppy is probably my favourite however.

Same, and metal always seems to have more and more sub genres that are constantly adding on. I could search for a genre I made up and there would be 2 bands and several fans talking about how its the best genre ever.

In the industrial genre, what are some of your favourite bands?

No worries, I've been frustrated with Dungeon Travelers so I've been focusing on Symphonia. I really need to get back to it.

How do you like Protest? They're so nice as well, which always makes me like a band so much more.

Ended up playing Splatoon with JDcooper because we had nothing to do that day and it's a lot of fun. One of those games that are super casual, and a novel idea.

I'm finally started feeling better, it was one of those nasty colds that sort of knock you off your feet because it came out of nowhere and lingered for so long. I'm glad your feeling better too. The malaise and chills are just the worst feeling because even your skin just hurts.

Thankfully, I was feeling okay when I went to a TRWP show, last time I'd been to that venue was to see Protest the Hero (amazing band).

Man, if you ever want to discuss guitar playing, check out JDcooper. He's been playing for awhile and he's pretty good. I'm not very musically gifted, I can only play the flute.

I was too much of a weenie to enjoy solo play, haha. Something about the atmosphere of the games made the hair on my neck stand up, so it was definitely easier to play with friends and laugh about things. I hadn't heard of Bury Tomorrow but I just checked them out and I'm super impressed! :D I'm a sucker for metal bands that actually have creative music videos. Between the Buried and Me is the only technical death metal band I listen to for the most part. I'm a sucker for a mix of clean vocals with screams, so metalcore is more up my alley, although I have my fair share of deathcore bands I enjoy listening to.

Hey! Sorry for delay, caught a terrible cold and had to take some time off work. Plus, I've been working on a gift for a friend and I'll be able to finish it tomorrow and I'll be able to pick up Dungeon Travelers and finish that! From there, I'll be playing Legend of Legacy and still am playing Tales of Symphonia with JDcooper and Jake2003. After that, I've got Persona 4, and Corpse Party for handheld.

Console wise? I think I'll handle Castlevania: Symphony of Night, Xenogears, and Earthbound.

It's a bit hard, my commute takes up a decent part of the day so I've been really loving the Kindle I got for Christmas.

I'm really looking forward to the new Fire Emblem game! Not heroes, but Echoes. I want all the FE games that were never released over here. But, most of all I want the 3rd Danganronpa!

I'm glad to hear that you consider Judgment to be last! I wholeheartedly agree, haha. Gears 2 was such a fantastic game, I think I'm just more biased towards 3 since I was able to play that one co-op. I was weird and played the series out of order (3 > 1 > 2 > Judgment) and by the time I got to 2 none of my friends or my boyfriend at the time wanted to go through it again so I played alone like a dweeb. :P I bought the 4th but haven't touched it yet, although all of the positive reviews are making me excited to finally dip into it.

Sorry for such a late reply btw! What was supposed to be a week vacation for Christmas ended up being about 3 weeks due to inclement weather.

I don't own a PSP, but they released a version for the 3DS that has extra death scenes or something? Either way, it will be fun!

What games are you looking forward to playing this year?

Did you end up having a 'favourite' gore moment? Mine was the umbrella, and it's one of the few times I had a moment in a series.

I haven't watched the anime for Corpse Party, I keep hearing that it was rushed and not as good as the game (which I picked up).

What are you planning on watching now?

I knew you'd like Another!!! It's really a perfect blend of subtle horror and really intense deaths. That, and the mystery of it all.

Another is definetly a great one to watch, and it was only one season which was excellent. The story never had annoying filler episodes, or dragged on.

Vampire Hunter D is probably my favourite novel series, I think the 25th one is coming out in spring 2017. It's a unique genre, sort of sci-fi/western ish? And there's art in each novel done by Yoshitaka Amano, who is responsible for the art in the majority of the Final Fantasy games.

There's also two movies. The first was made in the 80s and hasn't really aged well... but Bloodlust is one of my favourite films.

Yay! It's always cool to meet other people who share a similar music taste as I do-- most of my friends and family brush it off as cringy emo stuff once they hear the screaming vocals, haha. I definitely recommend reading the books before watching GoT. The first few seasons follow the books pretty well, but once you get to seasons 4 and 5 things start taking a very different path. Enderal seems so cool! Right now I'm going through the special edition with minimal mods, then I'll probably hit up the original Skyrim again to test out Enderal. Which Gears has been your favorite to play through? Just please don't say Judgment. :P

One Punch Man has been an absolute delight. I wasn't expecting to like it, but it's just great. And I loved Attack on Titan, Steins;Gate, and Tokyo Ghoul. I really loved Another, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Baka to Test, Madoka, and right now I'm watching Fate/Zero. Oh, and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. I love that series, books and movie.
