2 is good, but at this point, it's lower on my list of Mega Man games, just because the order of the Robot Masters is a bit disorganized. It is and always was a great game, but compared to the later games in the series, it seems less polished to me. I like sliding, and I love the Mega Buster, so I'm sure that's part of it. Of course, it's not like as they went on they always got better; I think 8 is my least favorite of the Classic games, though I do really like 7, which most people don't. Speaking of which, have you played the 8-bit demakes of 7 and 8?

The only card-based game that I ever completed was that Dragon Ball Z RPG on the SNES, and that's only because I was a raging Dragon Ball Z fangirl at the time. I also tried the Battle Network game for Game Cube, because it's more of a Platformer than an RPG, but it was too slow for my liking. That said, I did really enjoy Mega Man X: Command Mission, so I did get my Mega Man RPG fix. I don't even know why I was able to get through Final Fantasy Tactics. Live-A-Live (my favorite game of all time) is an RPG with movement, and Bahamut Lagoon was a lot more RPG than S, so I understand those, but Final Fantasy Tactics remains a mystery.

I, like most fans of the series, played 2 first, after seeing it in Nintendo Power. I don't remember if I got 1 or 3 next, but after those, it was all sequential. Well, except the Game Boy ones; by the time I had any kind of Game Boy, 1-4 were pretty hard to find, and 5 wasn't out yet. I should have mentioned, though, that Mega Man 4 on the NES has what is by far my favorite collection of weapons; they're all quite diverse and so useful.

As for Battle Network, I really wanted to like it, but I don't like cards. You know what makes me hate RPGs more than a card system, though? Movement in battle. I'm terrible at Strategy games for that very reason, and even though movement is very limited in the Battle Network games, it's enough to totally screw me over. Now, if it's full-on action, like Rogue Galaxy, then I'm fine, but hybrid systems like that are the bane of my RPG existence, unless your name is Live-A-Live, Final Fantasy Tactics, or Bahamut Lagoon. Well, or Ancient Magic: Bazoo! Mahou Sekai, but that one only has you move forward, so it didn't bother me nearly as much.

Really? The first one? That's very interesting; certainly not a common answer. I'm partial to 3, 10, and X8 more than any others, but I like the Classic, Legends, X, Zero, and ZX series; I couldn't get into Battle Network.
