I think Melee is the much better game too. The speed was just right. Brawl felt too slow.

Yeah, the Adventure inspiration and multiple characters definitely has me excited. Honestly, I feel like the only design change that has me upset is Knux doesn't have Lego feet anymore And you're right, it's an interesting approach that just needs to be given a chance. I'm really pissed off at some people saying there's no way it will work and Sonic is doomed.

I agree, Sonic Boom looks super fun. I don't really care about Knuckles'/Sonic's designs that much to be honest. I'm just glad someone besides Sonic is playable again, seemed like Sega only ever used the other characters in the M&S Olympic games

Yeah, you are done with Pokémon Y in terms of the narrative. Pretty underwhelming post game if you ask me. Gold & Silver is still king of post game content.

*whew* I think I managed to find one store that still had the Tales of Symphonia Chronicles Collector's Edition for a decent price. Got a little worried there, the thing was only announced like two days ago! It's also apparently the PAL version, but who cares, it'll still run on my PS3.

I didn't really get into the competitive scene till 5th gen with Black & White. That was when EV training a single poke still felt like a chore. They made it really easy in X & Y. With power items, pokerus, and a pokemon with Sweet Scent, you will be able to fully EV train a poke in a few minutes.

Competitive battling is definitely not for everyone and there is nothing wrong with that. There is no correct way to play the game.

But facing an opponent who carefully took the time to fine-tune their team just as much as you did is really satisfying. Even more satisfying if you emerge victorious or if it was a really good match. I love mind games. They play a huge roll in strategic play. It is really interesting to see if your opponents can keep a good momentum throughout the match and how they react to what pokemon or moves you use.

Oh and congrats on ing Y version. The story ain't over though

I remember reading about that. Has it actually been confirmed? I've always given tips. I gave 100 pokedollars (before beating the game). Now that I am a millionaire, I wouldn't mind tipping 1000 pokedollars every time. I guess I'm just obsessed.

I only encountered a total of 4 shinies in Y. But then again, that's a lot more shinies compared to my games.

Progress with Pokemon Y has actually slowed to a crawl. Just add several more hours of total playtime to what is actually displayed on my Now Playing list. I only play for 30 mins per session; hatching eggs. I regret trying to hatch a shiny Noibat via the Masuda Method. 700 eggs and counting

I really should just stop and move on but I can't shake the feeling that the shiny Noibat is just around the corner. Oh and Pokebank got delayed so I can't really train my to-be-transferred pokemons from 5th gen yet.

Thanks for the heads-up, I'll certainly go into it with an open mind! But I'll probably like it. Abyss isn't too new but the thing I disliked most about it was the 3DS's small screen. Playing a Tales game on such a small screen just felt wrong... But Symphonia on the big screen should be fun!

Tales of Hearts was already remade on the Vita, and so was Innocence. I think they would have had a better chance of coming over on the 3DS, unfortunately. Vita sales suck here...

Yes yes yes! Birth by Sleep is dying to be played on a controller! I agree that KH1 and CoM are the weakest of the series, and it sucks that those will be an intro to Kingdom Hearts for many, but hey. Maybe others will enjoy them more than we did. KH1 actually drove me AWAY from the series. I would've dropped it altogether if it wasn't for Birth by Sleep. KH2 is still my favorite, but hopefully KH3 will change that. In the meantime, I'd certainly love to replay KH2 with trophies!

You've certainly given yourself a hard playthrough by only using the default equipment for everyone except Kratos. The fight against him in Torrent forest will be a tough one with just default equipment.

I might do a Zelos run at some point but I would be reluctant to as Zelos is my least favourite party member in the game while Kratos is my favourite. I just find him annoying and I remember an end of battle conversation where Genis and Colette would praise Lloyd followed by Kratos saying "We're counting on you" which was later replaced by Zelos saying "You're the best" and I remember agreeing with Lloyd as he said "It's just not the same" afterwards. I would miss Kratos even more in the parts of the game where he could have rejoined my party but as you said Zelos does have some funny lines and I do feel kind of bad killing Zelos with the sad past that he has. Btw, does Kratos still temporarily rejoin the party for the Iselia human ranch in the Zelos path?

Good to see your Kratos run is going well. I actually think I was wrong about that last tip, sorry. I've never actually done the Zelos path so I forgot that he betrays you temporarily in that path and kind of just assumed that the skit I mentioned was exclusive to the Kratos path.

Thanks for the info, I probably will check those series out at some point but I already have a very long list of anime to watch and I'm also quite slow at getting through anime so it might be a while before I start those series.
