Yeah, I'm having less and less time to play games, and when I do have time to play something, I always have some other game I feel like playing that a friend recommends or wants to watch me play.

For single player focus, there's a couple good series I can recommend. The Bioshock series is great, has story, atmosphere, and good gameplay. If you want a more open world-ish shooter, the STALKER series is great and has aged well imo; Shadow of Chernobyl is especially good. I know CoD is done to the dirt, but the Modern Warfare line of games has an amazing campaign, especially the 2nd one. Finally, the Dead Space games are great if you're wanting something a little more scary, with Halloween coming up, you could try those out.
