I played it 3 consecutive times on the Wii, I loved it so much. Back in the day, before everyone was calling everything "Metroidvania" (that's a rant for another day), I described it as "like Super Metroid, but with more emphasis on combat than exploration", so if that sounds like your thing, I'd say you'll enjoy it. Truthfully, I mostly preferred the newer soundtrack over the original, but they're both pretty good. I originally grabbed the (huh huh) original, because I'd remembered that the soundtrack was in .ogg format, so I thought I'd just convert both soundtracks into that format, so I could pick and mix my songs. Turns out that I incorrectly remembered that; they're in .org format, so I'm stuck in that regard.
