They get more interesting as you continue on. The first quarter of the game does feel a bit barren of cool stuff, and it doesn't help that the starters are rather underwhelming, but soon you'll find plenty of Pokemon that actually feel new as opposed to retreads. Personally, some of my favorites came from Black/White, including two that I actively look to include in competitive teams. I won't spoil anything for you in this post, but if you want to know some of the Pokémon I liked, let me know (most of them are past where you currently are, so you have something to look forward to ).

I must admit, the story in this tactical shooter hit me stronger than any game that I've played last year, and there were Baldurs Gate I & II and some Sherlock Holmes (from the story focused ones). I've played through in one sitting (and 5,5h almost non stop playing never happens to me) and the transformation and events were crushing. I couldn't sleep after watching the ending. Pure WOW. I'll recommend this game from now on to everybody.

It's amazing how many original DS games I never bothered with back in the day. Now that I've picked up cheap DSi and DS Lite units for my family, I'll be getting around to some of these missed games.

I loved Rogue Trooper on Wii. It's a solid title.

Keep an ear out for those cassette tapes in MGS5. They put some good 80's songs in the game.

Yeah, I'm quite enjoying it. It's definitely held my attention longer than many games from that era tend to, good or not (like Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, for example).

Though I certainly hope it's not the best in the series, cuz that would mean I don't have much new to look forward to!
