Oh I didn't see your message on my Backloggery! I did tweet at you though. We finished the fights, but will be able to do them all the faster for you now! The second one in particular was troublesome, but Gades knows what to do to make it easy now. Actually, the third was probably the easiest. Let us know how you'd like to deal with them!

RE: Culinarian -- Thank you for the rather clear answer. That was more helpful than most of what you can find if you simply search the forums. I wish there was some sort of ability to eradicate FFXIV forum posts from 2010 from Google Search, giving that the game has changed as much as it has since Beta...

I'll take a look at the master list of crafts and their skills later, but I had planned on leveling a few anyway. CUL is just the one that I happened to fancy right away, though. A lot of what you said makes sense, and it's good to see that they did not go the FFXI route of making all the ingredients mainly NPC onry. Not that I'd mind the cost, mind you, but I just started a few days ago and probably don't have the gil to throw at the trivial yet.

I did, however, start FSH last night. Surprised to see how simple it was. It's not too terribly exciting (as fishing seldom is), but it's enough so to serve as a nice little distraction. I think. I don't regret picking up the rod and tackle. I'll just catch some more fish before starting CUL, or something.

P.S. Yes, I hope we get some news on servers soon too. I very much enjoy Excalibur, but would like to see you and some of the other server-scattered Backloggers again, too!
