I'm really digging Puyo Puyo Tetris but I mash the B button to get through the cutscenes as quickly as possible (...I really should just skip them). That said, I wish the game offered a little more guidance as far as tutorials and strategies, as I can tell I'm at the point where I won't do better in the game until I improve my skills at Puyo Puyo. I also reallyyy don't like Party mode (the gameplay mode where you can trigger random status effects, like blacking out the screen), as it enters too much luck and randomness into the gameplay formula for my taste.

Still, overall, I think I'll end up rating it a solid 4/5. It's kinda hard to mess up two different puzzle forms that have been popular for 20+ years. And I'm in the same boat, I want to get the sequel but will wait until it goes on sale.

I think you Puyo Puyo Tetris the same day I added it to my Now Playing list, ha ha. What a coincidence. I have a bad habit of playing the game right before bed and then when I close my eyes to try and fall asleep I just see falling blocks...! What did you think of the game? I can see why you went for with Deadly Premonition. Completing Sidequests and collecting Trading Cards is much of the fun. Plus it gives you more opportunities to interact with the cast.
